​Mr. Linus Demar, a native of the Island of St. Lucia, was introduced to the construction industry in 1984 when he commenced studies in Carpentry and Joinery at the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College (St. Lucia). On completion of this course, he began working to gain practical  experience in the carpentry trade.

In 1990, Mr. Demar traveled to St. Croix where he worked for 2 years as a Foreman. On his return to St. Lucia, he established Demar's Construction and Development Company Limited. The formation of this company marked his launch into construction project management. In 1994, Mr. Demar was involved in a joint venture with a local company and underwent training to operate guttering and galvanize machines as a part of this initiative.

In 1997, Mr Demar returned to the classroom for studies in Building and Construction and in Cost Estimation to formalize his growing practical experience.​ Over the next several years,  he worked on a number of projects in St. Lucia. Most notably, in 1998 he was the main contractor on the Sandals Hotel Project in La Toc and in 2003 he worked on the Discovery Bay Hotel in Marigot Bay.

Ever the entrepreneur, Mr. Demar was always actively seeking further opportunities to work outside of St. Lucia.  In 2001, he traveled to Anguilla where he was the major contractor on the construction of a private hospital for Dr. Lou.  In 2007, he introduced a seamless guttering machine to Barbados and executed a number of jobs there. While in Barbados, he installed guttering on the renowned Codrington College, the St. George Secondary School and several private homes and apartment buildings.

Mr. Demar's personal brand of quality workmanship, reliability and professionalism can be evidenced by the consistently high standard of work he has produced on all of his projects. He takes a very hands on approach in the management of his business and in the execution of all jobs. His personal motto: "It can be done!" is  testament to his ingenuity, determination and optimistic approach to challenges.
